BLACKFOOT — U.S. Senator Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, didn’t mince words during his address to the Greater Blackfoot Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday. “I think we’re in trouble in our country, facing a very, very serious challenge in a lot of different ways. “We need change, but not the kind of change we’re seeing,” Crapo continued. “Congress is in an absolute spending freefall. “I don’t believe Idahoans believe in this,” he added. “I don’t believe in spending us into prosperity. No economy in the world has sustained the kind of debt we’re driving toward.” Crapo said he was speaking to raise the alarm.

BLACKFOOT — Bill and Sharol Conn from Aberdeen have been the superintendent and assistant superintendent of sheep and boer goats for the past 12 years at the Eastern Idaho State Fair (EISF). “We like doing it,” Bill said. “We take our vacation; it’s like a working holiday. “We like the people, the atmosphere and the competition,” he said.
