Snake River rolls Firth

December 4, 2010

THOMAS - Playing for the third time in four days, the Snake River Lady Panthers welcomed a cross county opponent in the Firth Lady Cougars to the 'Panther Lair' and proved to be a rude host, handing the Lady Cougars a 36-17.
"We came in worried a bit about the mental fatigue of playing three games in four days, but the girls handled themselves very well tonight," said Snake River Coach Steve Morton. "We played great pressure defense and concentrated on running our sets with discipline and we were pleased with the effort of everyone."

Lady Grizzlies nip Lady Broncos

December 4, 2010

BLACKFOOT — It was a home game for the Blackfoot Lady Bronco basketball team but it felt as if they were on the road from a statistical perspective as the visiting Skyline squad shot 28 free throws, compared to 4 for Blackfoot, in a 39-34 defeat at the hands of the Lady Grizzlies.
"Well, it was a much closer game," Blackfoot head coach Mike Kirkham said. "Bottom line is that the kids want to win and they are really trying. I haven't seen any of them giving up and as long as they'll continue with that attitude, things will have to get better."

Panthers slay Dragons

December 4, 2010

THOMAS — Snake River unveiled their basketball team on Thursday night and what a sight it was for the home crowd as the Panthers looked to be in mid season form with a 78-44 shellacking of the Malad Dragons.
"These kids are so unselfish," Snake River head coach Bob Coombs said. "I was really pleased with everybody tonight. It was a good start, I'm excited."
