BLACKFOOT - From the moment a helicopter delivered the game ball Friday night the match up between the Skyline Grizzlies and the Blackfoot Broncos, had an electric feel to it. When the dust settled between the long time rivals, the Broncos had come away with a hard fought 35-24 win to move their season record to 3-1 at the half way mark of the regular season.
Utilizing the strong right arm of junior quarterback Trae Pilster, the Broncos turned to the passing game in the first half and Pilster responded with 13 completions in the half for a pair of touchdowns and a 21-14 lead.
ABERDEEN — Bingham County foes collided on Friday night as the Aberdeen Tigers welcomed Snake River to town for a non-conference tilt on the gridiron.
Snake River got a 3 touchdown performance from Emmett Smith and the Panthers defense turned in a stellar second half to lift the Panthers to a solid 28-14 win.
"Our offensive line did real well," Smith said. "They started to talk to each other and really played as a team."
