THOMAS — The Snake River Panther volleyball team shook off a slow start on Saturday afternoon to take down South Fremont 3-0 in a non-conference tilt.
Playing at the junior high school due to renovations in the high school gymnasium the Panthers came out sluggishly to open the first set.
The visiting Cougars on the other hand came out fast, taking an 8-2 lead before the Panthers began chipping away.
BLACKFOOT — Cross-Country runners from eighteen schools descended upon Blackfoot High School on Friday afternoon for the always popular Blackfoot Invitational. Four different Bingham County schools were in the field with Firth representing the 2A class. Snake River was the lone 3A school while Blackfoot and Shelley both represented in the 4A field.
At the end of the day local runners fared fairly well as several turned in solid times in the meet.
