SHELLEY — Assistant Librarian Henrietta Miller has made most of the 195 story kits available for loan at the North Bingham County District Library in Shelley.
The story kits feature a variety of themes. Some of these themes include holidays, transportation, trucks, cars, flight, animals, authors or destinations.
"One patron has borrowed every kit we have," Miller said.
Miller started building kits about 13 years ago, right after the library moved into its present location.
THOMAS - The Sugar Salem Diggers invaded the Panther Lair at Snake River Wednesday night and the two teams stood like a pair of heavyweight fighters slugging it out on the defensive end before the Panthers edged clear in the late stages to register a 47-34 victory.
"We really played well defensively tonight against a strong team," said Coach Robert Coombs. "I expect that Sugar will finish first or second in their district so that is added emphasis on how well we played."
BLACKFOOT — In the end it was a loss, but for Bronco fans in attendance at Wednesday evenings game against the Knights of Hillcrest, progress could be seen throughout the 86-73 defeat.
"Our offense is a lot better when we are a pass first team and you saw that out there tonight so at least we are making those strides because we had some really good possessions out there," Blackfoot head coach Jonathan Packer said. "We played with a lot of energy which I was happy to see."
