BLACKFOOT — Since the early 1980s, the voice of Country Music Legend Gary Morris has transcended season and setting. Saturday, that voice will treat fans of great music to ‘An Evening With Gary Morris’. The concert will kick off the Fall/Winter concert series at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Morris, recording for Warner Brothers, MCA/Universal and Liberty records, produced five number one hits, including the widely popular “Wind Beneath My Wings.â€
The trip to Blackfoot is not Morris’ first trip to Southeastern Idaho.
BLACKFOOT — The final hazing case involving five former Blackfoot High School athletes is now closed. Tuesday, Anthony Clarke signed a binding written plea agreement through his attorney. In this plea agreement, Clarke pled guilty to a misdemeanor disturbing the peace.
Magistrate Judge Charles Roos gave Clarke a withheld judgment and court probation for one year.
Under this plea agreement, Clarke was fined $500. He must pay court costs that total $137.50. Judge Roos suspended $500.
THOMAS — On Wednesday evening Snake River head coach Shelli VanOrden stated that her team was going to beat Bear Lake on Thursday evening because of the work that they got against the Beavers.
On Thursday, VanOrden's Panthers came out and proved their coach to be quite prophetic as they swept their biggest rivals 25-15, 25-15 and 25-18 much to the delight of the large crowd in attendance.
