THOMAS â Snake River band director Randy Brady has wasted no time making big improvements to the Snake River School District band program and the community can hear it for themselves at a concert Wednesday. It begins at 7 p.m. in the Snake River High School Auditorium. The concert features band students in seventh through 12th grades.
Brady's first job upon graduation came last year as director of the Snake River band program. Taking things one step at a time, he is committed to creating a program that offers new opportunities and excels.
Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Rolla John Windley, 80, of Lindon, Utah, passed away on March 11, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah due to heart failure.
Georgia F. Mosbrucker, 77, of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Willows Assisted Living Center after a long battle with COPD.
Georgia was born on November 24, 1933 in Campwood, Texas to William and Mary Whipkey. She was married to George Mosbrucker.
They lived in Aberdeen until 1972 where together they ran the Conoco Service Station and raised three children. George preceded her in death in 1980.
Danny Leroy Dahlquist was born on October 3, 1953 to David Frankin Dahlquist Sr, and Fern Cora Elston Dahlquist. There was a small mix-up with his drivers license as it read 1952, and Danny was always excited about that, making him a year older. Danny was born, grew up and educated in Blackfoot.
Danny married Cherryl Camphouse Dahlquist in 1972, soon after they moved to Dallas, Texas, where his son, Johnathon was born.
Etha Justensen Hiatt, 96 of Blackfoot, passed away, March 12, 2011 at the Skilled Nursing Center in Blackfoot of a extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Blackfoot 1st Ward LDS Chapel, 187 N. Ash Blackfoot.
Burial will follow at the Groveland Cemetery.
Family will meet with friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot and one hour prior to services at the Church.
Gregory Lynn Wright, 61, of Pocatello, Idaho passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
Services are pending and will be announced by the Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot.
Nina Anderson Mecham, 85, of Pingree, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at The Willows in Blackfoot.
Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home and will be announced.
Elizabeth âBettyâ Louise Lewis, 80, of Pocatello, passed away on March 12, 2011 at the Ashley Manor in Chubbuck, Idaho.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2001, at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling in Blackfoot.
The family will meet with friends on Friday evening at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. and again on Saturday for an hour prior to services.
Interment will be in the Riverside Thomas Cemetery.

FORT HALL â The Shoshone-Bannock Tribes have adopted a sex offender registration code and will now be registering sex offenders on the reservation.
Next week Oleta Benally, the Tribesâ sex offender registry technician, will begin registering all qualifying sex offenders who work, go to school or reside within the boundaries of the reservation. Benally said visitors to the reservation who plan to stay for more than 72 hours must also register.
BLACKFOOT â Prior to their own program, Blackfoot Distinguished Young Women sponsored the Little Miss day camp at the Blackfoot Community Center Saturday.
Director Ashlee Howell said 86 âlittle missesâ were participating in the event, which featured five different workshops in addition to group activities, and a âBe Your Best Selfâ program presented by the Distinguished Young Women.
âThe Distinguished Young Women plan everything. They get their own supplies and make all of the arrangements,â said Howell. âThey really take on the whole project and they are great with the younger girls.â
