BLACKFOOT ‚ÄĒ The Blackfoot City Council began discussions Tuesday night regarding a secure building access system for emergency services.
Gregory Lynn Wright, 61, of Pocatello passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
Gregory was born July 29, 1949, in Modesto, Calif., to Owen Winford Wright and Bethine Alice Colthier.¬†He was raised and attended schools in Brea, Calif.¬†
Gregory served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War from Nov. 22, 1967, to Nov. 21, 1973.
He lived the past seven years in Pocatello and before that had lived in numerous places.
Gregory married Brenda Inman; they had three children and were later divorced.
Nina Anderson Mecham, 85, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the Willows in Blackfoot.
Nina was born on May 20, 1925 in Goshen, Idaho to Andrew Christian Anderson and Clara Marie Jensen.¬†She attended schools in Shelley, Thomas, Moreland and graduated from Blackfoot in 1943.¬†Later she attended Business College in Pocatello.¬†She lived in Goshen, Shelley, Riverton, Thomas, Riverside, Blackfoot and Pingree.
On March 20, 1944 Nina married Alvin John Mecham in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.¬† They were later divorced.
Etha was born on April 22, 1914, in Dixon, Wyo., to Elzie Earl Eversole and Emma Louisa Stocks. She was the second child of eight and the first girl in the family. She always looked up to her older brother, Sanford (deceased), who took her on many adventures as they were growing up.
As the oldest girl in the family she took care of her younger siblings, Frank (deceased), Lee (deceased), Dale (deceased), Lucille (deceased), Don (Evanston, Wyo.) and Patricia (Mrs. Bill Meehan, Layton, Utah).
Judith ‚ÄúJudy‚ÄĚ Lee Rundle, 72, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at her home.
Judy was born Aug. 26, 1938 in Detroit, Mich., to Norval Wenner and Henrietta Woiderski.¬†Judy graduated from Firth High School in Michigan in 1957. She lived in Michigan until 1961, when she moved to Southern California.¬†She lived there until 1997, when she moved to Blackfoot and has lived here ever since.
On Aug. 4, 1966 Judy married Douglas Rundle in Santa Anna, Calif.¬†

Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Rolla John Windley, 80, of Lindon, Utah, passed away on March 11, 2011, in Salt Lake City, Utah due to heart failure.
He was born in Bloomington, Idaho, on Nov. 27, 1930, on Thanksgiving Day. Rolla was the fifth of six children born to John Gordon Windley and Vilda Thornock Windley.
Claude Everett Lilya, 86, of Groveland passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011, at the Bingham Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 22, 1924, the son of Ernest Otto Lilya and Mary Jane Simper. He was the youngest of five children including three brothers, Marvin, Ruben, Freeman and a sister, Orva Park.
He attended school in McDonaldville, in a two-room school, through the eighth grade. During his high school years he drove a school bus. He graduated from Blackfoot High School in May of 1943.
Claude married his high school sweetheart, Grace Smith, in the Logan LDS Temple on July 9, 1943.
Elizabeth ‚ÄúBetty‚ÄĚ Louise Lewis, 80, of Pocatello, passed away on March 12, 2011. at the Ashley Manor in Chubbuck.
Betty was born July 21, 1930, in Firth to Adolph Bartausky and Cristina Worthen.¬† She attended St. Margaret‚Äôs Catholic Boarding School until eighth grade, graduating from Firth High School.
On April 10, 1950, Betty married Paul E. Lewis in Blackfoot.¬† Together they had four children, Gary, Don, Darrell and Cathy.¬† Paul preceded her in death in May of 1983.¬†
