BLACKFOOT — The return of the River Rivalry game is in the books as the Blackfoot Broncos posted a 49-21 victory over the visiting Snake River Panthers on Friday night.
The game was filled with big plays as the two teams combined for nearly 700 yards of offense and a pair of kick off returns for scores before a capacity crowd.
"We anticipated that there would be some big plays," Blackfoot head coach Stan Buck said. "We have some play makers and they have some play makers and it's exciting for the kids and exciting for the fans and it's fun to watch."

SHELLEY — Shelley trustees turned down the request of the Journey Church to lease the Goodsell building at the school board meeting Thursday evening.
"It doesn't fit into our current and future plans for use of the Goodsell building," said Superintendent Bryan Jolley.
Shelley school board members suggested the building could be remodeled to house the district office. Part of it could be developed into a training center for teachers or for more technology.
Currently, Goodsell is used for back-up technology, storage and during the winter, Junior Jazz basketball.
