BLACKFOOT-The Blackfoot Bronco football team opened up their season against the 5A Idaho Falls Tigers Friday night and looked in mid season form as they crushed the Tigers 38-8.
The Broncos started off the game receiving the kick-off. For the first play of the Bronco offense, senior Ryan Gallegos ran 11 yards for a first and ten. Then with 7:31 left on the clock in the first quarter, quarterback Trae Pilster threw a 36 yard pass to Gallegos down to the five yard line.

Pennie Wolf from Malad won "Best of Show" in Fine Arts at the Eastern Idaho State Fair.
BLACKFOOT —Artist Pennie Wolf from Malad won "Best of Show" in the Fine Arts competition during a reception at Eastern Idaho State Fair Friday.
Wolf said she had taken the photo of this girl right after she had placed second in a 4-H dog show among 144 kids. She used that photo to create her artwork.
"She was so happy, then her mom walked up behind her and said, 'You could have won first place,'" Wolf said. "That's when I took the photograph."
BLACKFOOT – The Good Wok is a 35-year fair tradition and a Hong family affair. The family booth now has third generation members serving up the fair famous rice bowls.
"The fair has been very good to our family and we would like to give something back to our customers and the next generation of local kids," said Mindy Hong.
The Good Wok plans to give back several ways this year beginning the first day of the fair with a customer appreciation bargain of two bowls for $10.
