IDAHO FALLS — The 4A boys soccer consolation championship match went as far as it could go on a blustery Saturday morning as the Blackfoot Broncos and the Jerome Tigers played dead even through 100 minutes of play before the Broncos prevailed by winning the match 4-2 on penalty kicks.
"I felt that this game summed up our entire tournament," Blackfoot head coach Liam Pope said. "We had lots of chances but we were just wasteful in front of the goal and then we have a little lapse on the defensive end and give up a cheap goal. Honestly, I don't think that this game should have gone to penalty kicks."
BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot Broncos got back in the saddle on Friday night as they shook off their first loss of the season by dominating conference rival Pocatello 34-13.
"I'm pretty happy with the way we played," Blackfoot head coach Stan Buck said. "The defense played well and really got us going in the game. They made lots of stops which then got our offense going."

There are actually two cases against Orders. The first was filed in 2011. In this case, Orders admitted to two actions of lewd contact with a minor child, age 14.
Blackfoot School District 55 has announced the names of 15 community members, selected by the board, put on the committee to help select a new superintendent. That person will replace Scott Crane, who resigned last spring.
School district trustees Mary Jo Marlow and Jenny Hong head the committee. They will conduct a series of public meetings in each of the five zones in the coming months, giving everyone an opportunity to have an input in the selection process.
