Three file suit in hazing case

Three Blackfoot men have filed a lawsuit against Blackfoot School District 55, the County of Bingham, the City of Blackfoot, Scott Andrew, Randy Smith, Paul Newbold, Kurt Asmus, David Moore and agents, officers and employees of the above entities. The suit was filed at 4:55 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30.

Tree lighting begins festive week at Bingham County Historical Museum

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree, your branches green delight us. Marty Ellis, incoming president of the Bingham Historical Society, leads the community in singing the classic Christmas carol after county commissioner Whitney Manwaring lit the beautifully decorated tree at a public ceremony inside the museum Monday night. The tree lighting was the first of the festive events as part of a week-long 'holiday open house' at the museum at 190 N. Shilling St. A cookie and 'holiday treat' sale will take place from 4-8 p.m. at the museum today.

WILD CATS: Nov. 15, 12:44 p.m.: A caller reported a large amount of wild cats in the area of Rose Road.

BAD NEIGHBOR: Nov. 15, 3:09 p.m.: A man said his neighbor walks her dog by his residence every day and lets the dog urinate and defecate on his plants.

SHADOWY FIGURES: Nov. 16, 4:20 a.m.: A caller said they can see about eight figures and possibly flashlights and is also hearing whistle-type noises.
