Micha Wixom, owner of Shutter Girl Photography, and Harmony Jones, owner of the Photography Boutique, are up-and-coming masters of their craft. Wixom and Jones recently returned from a four-day convention hosted by Professional Photographers of Idaho (PPof I). It is a non-profit organization geared to expanding and perfecting the talents of professional photographers in Idaho.
During the early hours of the morning, wagonmasters Lenna and Bruce Dawkins begin harnessing their horses.The warm breath of the animals billows out, cutting through the cold air. The mules and horses neigh, showing their anticipation of the journey.
The party of 10— five teams — will be hauling wagons for a five-night, six-day journey through Goodall's Cutoff to the old post known as Frenchman's Cabin at the bottom of the Butte.
The Dawkins, husband and wife, have gone on several treks prior to this. This is the first that they have organized themselves.
BLACKFOOT- The 3rd annual talent show, Bingham's Got Talent, will be hosted at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center (BPAC) Saturday night, April 14th at 7 p.m. The talent show was organized by Angels Among Us, the Relay for Life team from the Jason Lee Memorial United Methodist Church.
Stacy Hastriter is the chairman for Bingham's Got Talent. Tom Drysdale is the chairman of the Angels Among Us relay team.
This year there are 22 entries. All spectacular in differing ways. Landon Delaney, 13-years-old, will be playing the cello and Alyssa Delaney, his sister, will be playing the fiddle.
BLACKFOOT — It was a mixed day on the diamond for the Blackfoot softball squad on Thursday as they started out like gangbusters for a 8-7 first game win before fizzling out in game two for an 8-2 loss against fifth district foe Pocatello.
