Twila Leona Russell Humphries, 86, of Ammon,
passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Idaho Falls Care and Rehab Center.Â
She was born Sept. 14, 1925 at her Aunt Violet Lords’ home in Taylor, near Shelley, to Edward Jackson Russell and Hazel Vinona Taysom Russell.

BLACKFOOT — On Tuesday members of the Blackfoot City Council approved discussions with two groups which want to use city property.
Mayor Mike Virtue noted that an organization out of Utah wants to use Jensen Grove Lake for a regional wakeboard competition on July 28. He also noted that another organization would like to use the old BMX track property for ATV training at least one time this summer.
"This sounds like a win-win for the city," said councilman Rich Woodfin.
"It's another way to get people off the freeway and see our wonderful growth," councilman Butch Hulse said in agreement.
BLACKFOOT — Louis Kraml, administrator of Bingham Memorial Hospital (BMH), is doing some moonlighting.
Kraml and Dan Cochran, an associate and friend of Kraml's for the past 22 years have formed a coding and billing company called International Consulting Services (ICS), LLC.
A contract was proposed between ICS and the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHC) in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, a U.S. territory. The islands are across the International Date Line, way east of Hawaii, and a little north and west of Guam.
THOMAS — The Snake River Panther baseball squad closed out the regular home schedule on Tuesday afternoon as they made short work of conference rival Marsh Valley with a five inning, 14-4 romp over the Eagles.
"I'm happy with the way that we are swinging the bats," Snake River head coach James Carter said. "We just need to keep our heads on straight, go over to Bear Lake on Thursday and take care of business."

The Blackfoot Distinguished Young Woman contest is at 6:30 p.m. this Thursday at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center (BPAC).
Tickets can be purchased at Blacker's Complete Home Furnishings, 1351 Parkway Dr., Blackfoot, or at the door. Tickets cost $7 per person.
Competing in this year's contest are 14 Blackfoot High School students.
Alice Cannon is the daughter of Chris and Corenna Cannon and will be singing “Angel By Your Side.”
Megan Moore will be performing a self choreographed dance to “Set Fire to the Rain.” Her parents are David and Trish Moore.
