Maxine May (Thomas) Cushman, 93, of Blackfoot passed away June 15, 2012 as the result of an auto accident.Â
She was born in Spokane, Wash., in 1919. She was a long-time business owner in Blackfoot and Pocatello, owning Cushman’s Paint and Glass, Cushman’s Crafts and Cushman’s Bookkeeping and Tax Preparation.Â
Margaret Celestia Borresen passed away June 16, 2012, in Boise.Â
Margaret was born June 16, 1919, in Richfield to Bill and Celestine Tomlinson. Margaret attended Idaho State University, receiving a two-year degree in Education, transferred to the University of Idaho, where she received her BS in Home Economics.Â
In 1943, while attending University of Idaho, she met the love of her life, Con Borresen, and they were married for 50 years.
While Cushman's craft stores in Blackfoot and Pocatello were open for business Monday, the steady stream of those coming in were there to offer their condolences to the Cushman family over the
loss of their mother, businesswoman and longtime Blackfoot resident - Maxine Cushman.
Cushman, 93, died from injuries received in a car accident north of the Fort Hall exit on Interstate 15 Friday evening. Idaho State Police officials said Cushman, who was driving a 2002 Honda Odyssey van, came upon
