Snake River trustees voted to increase the drivers' education fees from $85 to $110, effective next year. The increase goes into effect Friday, March 1, 2013.
This fee increase includes an increase in the driver education teacher's salary from $17.50 to $20 per hour. This salary increase brings the driver education teacher's salary more in line with the state average.
Trustees also approved the bus routes and safe busing.
These decisions were made at the August Snake River school board meeting last week.
It's about fun, fitness and giving back to the community. Sandy McKinlay, owner (and personal wellness coach) of Sweet Life Nutrition in Shelley, is sponsor of an end of summer 5K walk on Saturday. The entry fee to participate in the walk is a donation of food and/or baby items to help replenish the Bingham County Food Bank.
"There is such a great need to restock the food bank; we'll take as much or as little as a person can give," McKinlay stressed.
