Rexburg company merges with Blackfoot firm

Mark Porter, president of Porter's Office Products of Rexburg, has announced that Porter's Office Products, one of Idaho's leading independent office products dealers, has merged with M & H Office Supply of Blackfoot.
Under the terms of the agreement, Porter's is acquiring M & H's commercial office product business. M & H also operates a scrapbook store which will continue to operate independently.

Thompson files as write-in candidate for county commissioner

Matt Thompson has thrown in his cowboy hat into the ring to run a write-in campaign for Bingham County commissioner in District One.
Mark Bair won the Republican nomination for this office in the primary election.
Thompson was second in the race.
So why is he running?
Based on the precinct reports, if the commissioner office was elected by districts, Bair would have finished third or fourth, Thompson said.

Blackfoot man one of two certified cancer exercise trainers in state

Anyone affected by cancer knows it's not always easy to find a path back to good health. Trevor Bennion, the only certified health and fitness specialist in east Idaho and one of only two specialists in the state who is certified as a 'cancer exercise trainer,' has found his passion helping cancer patients (and others with chronic diseases) find hope by gaining control of their health through exercise and nutrition.

Jensen hat trick keys Firth win

Jacee Jensen scored three goals, leading Firth to a 3-2 girls' soccer win at South Fremont. The Cougars are now 2-4 on the season and will entertain Shelley at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
