Thursday was day two of the Indian Relay National Finals. The races will continue today with the finals on Saturday at the Eastern Idaho State Fair.
The Indian Relay is a thrill to see. It's a quick sport with plenty of spills and unexpected turns. One of the handlers was bowled over by a horse and rider as the team was coming out of the starting partition.
Twenty-four teams are competing in this year's finals. Ten of these are home teams.
These teams will split a $50,000 purse.
"Joy to the world...all the boys girls now. Joy to the fishies in the deep blue sea...joy to you and me." It was the classic rock tune that everyone, young and old, seemed to know the words to as multiple generations of fans converged upon the grandstand for the Three Dog Night concert at the Eastern Idaho State Fair Thursday night.
