The Demolition Derby got off to an atypical start Saturday night at the closing night of the Eastern Idaho State Fair.
Instead of the sound of engines roaring, there was the sound of absolute silence as hundreds of spectators paid a moment of reverence, thought and respect to several fallen Bingham County residents who were taken tragically over the last several weeks.
4-H marked its 100th birthday in Idaho with style Saturday. Following the style revue, 4-H celebrated its century mark with birthday cake.
â4-H is fun for kids,â said Barbara Petty, Eastern District Director of University of Idaho Extension. âIt provides for them to have positive interactions with adults.
âIt prepares our youth to be productive and contributing members of society as adults,â she said.
