Shelley (10-0) takes on Gooding (10-0) in a battle of unbeaten teams with a spot in the 3A state title game on the line.
Gooding gets on the board quickly and leads Shelley 7-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Nelson scores on a 38-yard touchdown pass to get the Russets on the board and tie score 7-7 midway through the second quarter.
Shelley turns the ball over with fumble late in the second quarter, giving the Senators great field position at the Russets 38-yard line. But Shelley's defense comes up with a stop and the score is 7-7 at halftime.
Delbert Olen Bateman, 83, of Blackfoot passed away Saturday, Nov.3, 2012 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Delbert was born Feb. 4, 1929 in Salmon to Olen Valintine Bateman and Alma Marie Hebertson.Â He lived most of his life in Blackfoot, attending school in Pingree and Thomas.Â
On May 26, 1951 Delbert married Norma Jean Hall in Blackfoot.Â They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.Â
Delbert was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Â He served many years in the Boy Scouts of America, many of these years as scoutmaster, and served as ward clerk.
Gerald Robert Gray, 74, of Idaho Falls and formerly of Blackfoot, passed away Nov. 2, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 22, 1938, in Albion to Robert Charles Gray and Freda Perrins Gray.Â He grew up in Blackfoot.Â In 1956, he graduated from Blackfoot High School.Â He served with the Idaho National Guard.
On Aug. 15, 1957, he married Joy Howell in Elko, Nev.Â
In Idaho Falls, he worked for Challenge and Cream Oâ€™ Weber Dairy delivering milk and also worked for the Post Register.
Taitem Devan Beck, 4 months old passed away Nov. 2, 2012. God decided he was too perfect and took him home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at the Rigby 1st Ward Chapel, 106 N. 3800 E.Â in Rigby.Â Family will meet with friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot and for one hour prior to services at the church.Â
Interment will follow at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.Â

Georgena J. Weeks Traughber Whiting, 91, of Springfield passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2012.
She was born Jan. 10, 1921, in Idaho Falls, the daughter of George Henry Weeks and Elizabeth Jane Staten.
Georgena attended school in Idaho Falls.Â
She married Marvin Donald Whiting on Jan. 7, 1958, in Las Vegas, Nev.Â They had been married for 54 years.
Georgena traveled all over the country from Alaska to New Mexico, while her husband worked in the mines.Â She lived 14 years in Arizona.
Verna Colleen Brown Dewey, 73, passed away peacefully at her home in Idaho Falls on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, after enduring a lingering illness.Â
Colleen was born Sept. 1, 1939 in Blackfoot in a two-room home on Pendlebury Lane.Â She was the second oldest child of four children born to Walter and LaVerna Brown.Â
BLACKFOOT â€” Miles and Angela Clark have owned and operated the Blackfoot Chevron for the last 20 years.
â€śI have been working shifts at a gas station since I was 13. I started working at one when I was 9.â€ť said Miles of his career. Miles started working for his dad who had a gas station in Burley. His father eventually purchased the ground to build a Chevron station in Blackfoot in 1992 and Miles and Angela purchased it from Mileâ€™s dad.
â€śWe started with the Chevron modular building, a pre-built station provided by Chevron. It got pretty small pretty quick.â€ť said Miles.
THOMAS â€“ To improve communication with the schools, students, parents and patrons, the Snake River School District is offering a free â€śAppâ€ť to anyone and everyone who wants it.

â€śThe school district has a web page and Facebook page, we are adding this to get better communications out to patrons,â€ť said Lorrie Surerus, Technical Director of the Snake River School District. â€śWe want to improve community relations with patrons and students.
If all goes well there are two more weeks of prep football action for the ferocious grid iron fans in Bingham County. After a most interesting quarterfinal round Bingham County has three teams remaining and the hopes of a 4A, 3A, 2A state title sweep are still alive as Blackfoot, Shelley and Firth all advanced to this weekends semi-final round.
If all goes well this weekend, then by Saturday evening there will be state championship berths for all three teams.
Last weekend, the fearless predictions were a perfect 3-0 and are 8-0 on the post season thus far and so, without further adoâ€¦..
