Pingree couple finds business they can involve family in

January 20, 2013

Scott and Melissa Merrill wanted a business/product they could involve their children in.
Eventually they settled upon a Murphy bed company which a Utah man had decided to sell.
"It's something we could do together," Scott said of building and selling the wall beds often seen in old movies.
"They're better than anything on the market and priced better than anyone else, too," he said.
According to Wikipedia, a Murphy bed is also called a pull down or fold-down bed. It is a bed that is hinged at one end to store vertically against the wall, or inside a closet or cabinet.

Local grapplers fare well at Tiger-Grizz

January 20, 2013

IDAHO FALLS — With the spot light shining on center mat four Bingham County grapplers took center stage in the finals of the prestigious Tiger-Grizz wrestling tournament on Saturday evening. Shelley's Chase Call led the charge with a commanding 14-7 decision over Columbia's Tomaz Gonzales in the 138 finals as the senior led from start to finish for the win.
"Winning this tournament has been a goal of mine since I was a freshman," Call said. "All of those years working in the wrestling room paid off. I came in just wanting to wrestle position and just do what I've been taught. I want to thank all of my coaches, friends and especially my family for helping me."
