SHELLEY â€” Idaho State Police have released the name of the 19-year-old female who died Thursday morning in a one-vehicle crash on I15, south of Shelley. She is Colleen N. Jackson, 19, of Saugus, Calif. Her name was withheld until relatives in California were notified.
On Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, Jackson was driving northbound on I15 in a 2005 Dodge pickup when she approached a slower moving vehicle.
Jackson made an abrupt lane change from the right lane to the left lane. She over corrected back to the right lane where she lost control of the vehicle and rolled.
The Angry Pumpkin Chuckin' catapult contest is an event within an event. The pumpkin launching, cannon shooting, egg tossing blast is part of the Wild Adventure Corn Maze, now located off Exit 98 on Rose Road.
"This event is just a blast," said Richard Johnson, owner of the Wild Adventure Corn Maze. "We have everything from small egg launchers to huge catapults. It is amazing to see what people are able to create."
Admission to watch the contest is free and all proceeds go towards prizes and cash awards for the winners.
