Russets looking to repeat as champs

SHELLEY — 3-0.
That is the record the Shelley Russets have against the Fruitland Grizzlies in their last three meeting in the 3A state championship game.
Today in Holt Arena the two teams will meet for the fourth time since 2007 with the Russets looking to make it four straight over the Grizzlies.

Studio has tradition of excellence

BLACKFOOT—Dance instructor and owner of Blackfoot's Downtown Dance Studio (DDS) Amy Mow has made a huge impact on the lives of hundreds of girls throughout the 10 years that she has been in business.
Mow was born and raised in the Blackfoot area and is a graduate of both Blackfoot High School and BYU-Idaho. She is married to Michael Mow and together they have four children: Ethan (10), Noah (8), Bella (6), and Libby-Lu (3).
Marva-Lu Kesler, who ran the Blackfoot Stars, was Mow's only dance teacher of 12 years.

MARY ARLENE IRETON RADFORD WIXOM, 99

Mary Arlene Ireton Radford Wixom, 99, formerly of Blackfoot,  passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013 in Bend, Ore.  She will be remembered as being thoughtful and liked helping others.  She loved her family and friends. 
Arlene was born July 21, 1914 in Carlton, Kansas which is a short distance from Salina, Kansas.
She is the daughter of Elmer G. Ireton and Myrtie Baxter Ireton.  The family moved to Blackfoot and the Groveland area when she was about six years old, along with sisters, Alice and Margie.  She graduated from Blackfoot High School, also taking courses from Utah State University.

Clea E. Going Wilson, 84

Clea E. Going Wilson, 84, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family following a long illness.
She was born March 4, 1929 in Downey, Idaho the daughter of John and Sarah Burrup Waddoups.
She attended grade school in Downey and graduated from Moreland High School. She has lived in Idaho most of her life, in the Riverside area and lived a few years in Salt Lake City, Utah.  While living in Salt Lake City, she was a caregiver for Governor Bangerter’s mother.
