FIRTH — Behind a 30 point night from senior guard Mitch Orme the Firth Cougars picked up a regular season split with Nuclear Conference rival North Fremont with a 72-52 victory on Friday evening.
Following a pre game ceremony honoring the five seniors on the squad, Braden Boyer, Luis Avila, Kent Jolley, Quinn Alvey and the aforementioned Mitch Orme exploded out of the gates as they outscored the visiting Huskies 31-11 in the first quarter.
BLACKFOOT — Two Blackfoot High School (BHS) automotive technologies students placed third at Weber State University's Automotive Contest in Ogden, Utah, last Thursday.
Cade Hebdon and Joey Snapp earned their honors at the multi-state invitational.
"Just to get on the podium is really doing something," said BHS Auto Instructor Dallen Worthington. "It's pretty competitive.
"Some of my students come into this program with their sights set on winning this competition," he said. "It's pretty neat when their work comes to fruition for some of them."
