Cravens announces run for Blackfoot mayor

April 25, 2013

BLACKFOOT — Dan Cravens announced he is running to become the next mayor of Blackfoot at noon Thursday in front of City Hall.
Asked how he would accomplish these goals, Cravens said, “The mayor is the lead ambassador for Blackfoot. That doesn’t cost the city a cent.
“There are also federal and state programs to help local employers,” said Cravens.
Not long ago, my wife, Jill, and I bought our first home, Cravens said. “We hired a carpeting company to re-carpet a few of our rooms.”

Diamonbacks upset Broncos 7-2

POCATELLO — The Blackfoot Broncos hit the road on Thursday looking to improve upon their undefeated conference record when they faced off with Century at Halliwell Park. Unfortunately, an 8 error binge over the fifth and sixth innings spelled doom as the Diamondbacks upset the Broncos 7-2.
"We didn't even get on the bus right to come here," Blackfoot head coach Kenny Dahle said. "We were fifteen minutes late getting on the bus and throughout the whole day you could just see that we were not focused. Like I told the team afterwards though, we are still a good team. In fact, the only team that has beaten us this year is ourselves. We just need to lock it up and come back strong tomorrow."
