Blackfoot reading program begins

BLACKFOOT—With orange highway cones in place and librarians dressed as construction workers, the library was bustling with parents and children Wednesday afternoon for the first day of the summer reading program - "Dig Into Reading at Blackfoot Public Library."
The fun, 'construction themed' program will keep kids busy through July with activities and the opportunity to win prizes by reading books.

IDAHO FALLS — The 2013 Idaho Falls Chukars are celebrating the 75th year of professional baseball in Idaho Falls, the bream is also looking to make it's first legitimate run at a Pioneer League title since the 2008 season.

Music in the Park tradition returns

BLACKFOOT — ”Music in the Park,” a summertime tradition of free concerts started by Blackfoot’s late city councilman Butch Hulse, will continue this summer. Local musician Doug Wareing, who directs “Jazz House Big Band”has taken over the concert series, carrying on the tradition that Hulse started four years ago. “The BinghamMemorial Hospitalboard of directors and administrators have graciously stepped up again this year as the major sponsor of the event,” Wareing said.
