BLACKFOOTâ€”With the '4th of July' just one week away, firework stands have popped up throughout the region. However, with last year's fire season (particularly the June 28th 'Charlotte Fire' in Pocatello that destroyed 66 homes) still fresh in the minds of many, fire officials are urging the public once again, "to use extreme caution."
BLACKFOOT â€” So far this week the Blackfoot American Legion baseball team has played .500 baseball.
After a split with the Idaho Falls Knights on Monday and another split with Wood River on Tuesday, the Broncos took to the field tired, sore but looking for improvement.
In Wednesday's doubleheader with Twin Falls the Broncos put the fatigue behind them and pulled out two big district wins taking game one 9-8 in eight innings and game two 8-2.

BLACKFOOTâ€”To say that Lisa Harral "knows the library" is an understatement. Harral started working at the Blackfoot Public Library in 1980 while she was just in high school; now, over 30 years later, Harral has been named Library Director - an opportunity that she welcomes wholeheartedly.
