SR board approves well at middle school

August 5, 2013

Although some challenges remain, members of the Snake River School Board approved a resolution regarding a new well at the middle school on Tuesday night.
Facilities manager Alden Hale gave an update on the well, which will provide drinking water to the school before board members conditionally approved the resolution.
"It may not be done by the time school starts (on Aug. 12)," Hale said. He said the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has not yet approved a required variance to its requirements.
Hale and board members agreed it would be unwise to proceed without that approval.
