BLACKFOOT â€” Ed and Kaylynn Gorder, familiar faces in the Blackfoot business community, became the new owners of Stan's Restaurant on Friday. The Gorders are the owners of successful local businesses Downtown Bread and Gorder's Honey. Kaylynn has managed the bakery/eatery [Downtown Bread] at 111 W. Bridge St. for the past 7 years, while Ed has run the honey business on Highway 39 for 25 years.
THOMAS â€” Nursing a one goal lead with 10 minutes remaining in the game the Snake River LAdy Panthers knew they were going to face some pressure from visiting Teton.
What they did not know was just how much pressure they would be under in those final minutes.
Ruth Marcum, 89, of Rexburg and formerly of Blackfoot passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Victor on March 8, 1924 to Ulysses Grant Daniels and Delilah Wardle Daniels.
Â She was raised and attended school in Victor and Jackson Hole, Wyo.Â She graduated from Victor High School, attended Ricks College and Idaho State University receiving her bachelorâ€™s degree in Elementary Education.Â She taught school in Teton Valley and the Snake River School District for 25 years.
