Robert Verland â€śBobâ€ť Haddon, 61, of Blackfoot passed away on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at Bingham Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness.
Bob was born Jan. 14, 1952 to Charles Vernon Haddon and Cora Bell Wagner-Haddon.Â He was the second child of what grew to be 7.
Steven Brent Cronquist, 58, of Pingree passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family following a lingering illness.Â
Steven was born on Feb. 4, 1955 in Logan, Utah to Carl and VaLoye Balls Cronquist, Jr.Â He was raised in the Blackfoot area and attended Snake River schools, graduating from Snake River High School. He married Diane Schobe and together they had two sons, Jimmy and John.Â They were later divorced.Â Later in life he found companionship with Debbie Thomas and they remained together until her passing on Nov. 9, 2012.
Believe it or not we have just finished the first month of the high school football season.
While most teams in the state are wrapping up their non-conference match-ups and preparing for the meat of their schedule, there will still be a few big non-conference match-ups later in the season.
Saturday was a glorious day to celebrate the 85th edition of Shelleyâ€™s Spud Day. Thousands attended.
This yearâ€™s theme was â€śUnder the Big Top" and the Spud Day committee certainly delivered.
The parade featured Miss Russet--Carly Nelson--and her court, cheerleaders, dancers, politicians, floats and farm equipment.
Seven thousand baked potatoes were prepared for all comers. At noon, people lined up across the city park to receive a potato loaded with butter, sour cream and cheese. Milk was also served.
