Panthers cruise past Beavers 70-41

THOMAS — Take a look at just the score of Snake River's 70-41 victory over American Falls Friday night and it would easy to assume that the Panthers were in control from the opening tip.
For a quarter and a half that was far from the case.
The winless Beavers got hot from behind the three point line and the Panthers made their fair share of turnovers to allow the Beavers to stay close.

Tribes wear red to promote heart health

FORT HALL — Shoshone-Bannock tribal members throughout Fort Hall had some fun wearing red on Friday for "National Wear Red Day" while helping to raise awareness for a very serious health issue: heart disease.
Shoshone-Bannock spokeswoman Randy'L Teton said that with the backing of Tribal Health Services, social media was used to encourage the entire community to have some fun wearing red to help bring awareness to heart disease, an affliction that hits Native Americans (particularly women) hard.
