Some Boise State University (BSU) students from East Idaho had what will likely be a "once in a lifetime experience" - the opportunity to hear U.S.President Barack Obama speak live and in person. Just one day after his State of the Union speech, Obama spoke to a full house at the Caven-Williams Sports Complex on Wednesday afternoon.
Blackfoot native Nick Hall, 20, Â (BHS Class of 2012) who is a junior at BSU studying supply chain management and marketing said he "wouldn't have missed the opportunity to see the president" nailing a spot only 30 yards away from him.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Researchers are trying to crack the mystery surrounding the discovery of a weathered, rusted Winchester rifle in the mountains of remote eastern Nevada.
The gun manufactured in 1882 was found leaning against a juniper tree on a rocky outcrop in Great Basin National Park during an archaeological survey in November.
Nichole Andler, the park's chief of interpretation, said officials may never know when the .44-40 rifle was placed there, but it's possible it could have been left undisturbed since the 1800s.

LONDON (AP) — It was not what Derek Nash expected to find in his 5-year-old's school bag: A bill demanding a "no-show fee" for another child's birthday party.
Nash said the bill from another parent sought 15.95 pounds ($24.00) because his son Alex had not attended the party at a ski center in Plymouth, southwest England.
Nash told the BBC on Monday he had initially accepted the party invitation, but later realized Alex was supposed to visit his grandparents that day. He said he did not have contact details to let the other family know.

CHICAGO (AP) — A Chicago strip club has received an award for its efforts at dressing up the neighborhood.
The Admiral Theatre on Chicago's northwest side received one of Albany Park Neighbors' six "Block Star Business" awards this week. The group's website says the honor is meant to spotlight businesses that work to keep the neighborhood clean and presentable.
"It's difficult to dispute the Admiral doesn't deserve the award," group member Shylo Bisnett said. "They recently upgraded their façade and even during construction it was still tidy, it was still passable."
