Wallace Dean Hart, 85, of Blackfoot, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at his home in Blackfoot.
Wallace was born on Oct. 7, 1926 in Idaho Falls to Clarance and Seretta Mae Green Hart. He was raised in the Pocatello area and graduated from Pocatello High School. He attended Idaho State University and later earned an accounting degree from Brigham Young University.
Sarah Constance Asmus, 18, of Blackfoot passed away Sunday, Nov. 20,
2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Sarah was born March 24, 1993 in Idaho Falls to Kurt Paul Asmus and Elaine Garbarino Asmus.
Sarah was the beloved sister to Rachel Josephine Asmus. She lived her entire lifetime in Blackfoot, attending school in the Snake River School District, graduating in 2011 from Snake River High School as the valedictorian of her class and president of the Honor Society.
Loyal E. Birchell, 96, of Blackfoot, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at the Bingham Memorial Extended Care Facility in Blackfoot.
Loyal was born on March 21, 1915 in Roosevelt, Utah to Ephriam Smith and Straussie May Schilslar Birchell. He was raised in the Roosevelt area, attended schools in Ouray and Vernal, and graduated from Roosevelt High School.
Loyal served in the Army 77th Division and was a part of the U.S. occupational force in Japan.
Leah W. Thompson, 89, of Blackfoot, passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2011 at her home.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at the Blackfoot 14th Ward LDS Chapel.Â The family will meet with friends and relatives from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2011 at Hawker Funeral Home and again for one hour prior to service at the church.Â Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.Â

BLACKFOOT â€” Volunteers scurried about the Southeastern Idaho Community Action Agency Monday filling food boxes to go to those in need this Thanksgiving.
A total of 157 Thanksgiving food boxes will be distributed to families in Bingham County through the program. Applicants can receive boxes every other year to help feed their families during the holidays. Recipients applied earlier this month to receive the food boxes.

BLACKFOOT â€“Â There is real genius behind some of the work being produced by a group of teenagers named Cannon.
Bobby, James, Justin, Paul, Rachel, Tyler and Scott Cannonâ€”a group of siblings and cousinsâ€”all gathered at Grandma Cannonâ€™s house to raid the candy bin, and, out of that meeting, Cannon Productions was born.
Renae Faler passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, in Blackfoot. Mom started life in Rigby, born on Aug. 29, 1935 to Alta and William Marshall.
