SHELLEY â€” The Shelley Lady Russets turned in their best performance of the year on Wednesday evening, overpowering the Lady Bees of Bonneville 56-43 in a High Country Conference tilt at Shelley High School.
"Like I told the girls, this was the best team basketball that we have played this year," Shelley head coach Burke Davis said. "We distributed the basketball with extra passes and I thought that we were really patient, we didn't shoot as many ill advised shots as we have so far this year."
BLACKFOOT - The Madison Lady Bobcats rode the shooting and rebounding of Jane Hansen to a 65-49 victory over the homestanding Lady Broncos of Blackfoot Wednesday evening.
Hansen tallied 20 points and snared 11 rebounds on the evening and the Broncos just couldn't find an answer for the talented sophomore.
"We just couldn't stop number 15 tonight," said Coach Mike Kirkham. "We did some nice things tonight and are making improvements over some of our recent outings, but we remain a work in progress."
Andra Annette Woods-Camphouse, 30, of Blackfoot passed away, Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, in Tacoma, Wash.
She was born March 28, 1980, in Idaho Falls to Thomas H Woods and Gwendolyn Cheryl Seaton Woods.
She lived in Blackfoot until adulthood, then lived in Washington for the remainder of her life.
She enjoyed writing, reading, and spending time with friends and family. Andra will be remembered most for her quick wit and sense of humor.
Dorothy C. Allison, 86, of Blackfoot, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at the Renaissance Assisted Living surrounded by her family.
She was born Aug. 6, 1924, in Graceville, Ala., to Clifton and Laura Ellis.Â She had two sisters.
BLACKFOOT â€” The four former Blackfoot athletes facing charges relating to hazing incidents in the past year have been served and are scheduled to appear in front of Magistrate Judge Charles Roos Dec. 23. A fifth individual will also be charged but is not being identified because he was a juvenile at the time the incidents occurred.
THOMAS - The Snake River Lady Panthers weathered a slow offensive start to down the visiting Teton Lady Redskins in A2 action Tuesday evening by a final score of 44-28.
"We seemed to lack some offensive intensity in the first half and missed some easy opportunities," said Coach Steve Morton. "We made some adjustments at half time and rode our strong defense to the win tonight."
SHELLEY â€” There have been many Hillcrest/Shelley basketball games over the years but on Tuesday night, that rivalry took on added meaning as the Russets opened their 4A High Country Conference season with a showdown with the Knights.
After an uncharacteristic game of basketball, Hillcrest emerged triumphant by handing the Russets a bitterly disappointing 69-46 loss.

The investigation is ongoing.
Aline M. Pinkerton, 96, of Idaho Falls passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2010,
at the Life Care Center in Idaho Falls.Â
Aline was born April 16, 1914 in Leechburg, Penn., to Roy Clarence Riggle and Annie Laurie Cottingham.Â She attended school in Tarentum, Penn,, graduating from Tarentum High School in 1933.
On July 30, 1935, Aline married Dwight Pinkerton in Tarentum.Â Together they had three sons, Roy, Lee and Richard.
