Jonathon Edward Maglio, 27, of Shelley passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at his home.
Jonathon was born Aug. 24, 1983, in Lynwood, Calif., to Donald Edward Maglio and Lluana Jean Cherry. He moved to Blackfoot in 1991and lived in Blackfoot until moving to Pocatello in 1998. He lived and worked in Pocatello until moving to Shelley three years ago.

Bingham Search & Rescue offers SCUBA class

BLACKFOOT — Members of Bingham County Search and Rescue will be providing the public with the opportunity to experience scuba diving while raising funds for their program.
Search and Rescue members will be at the Blackfoot Pool on Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. teaching members of the public to scuba dive. Divers must be ages 10 and up and all equipment and instruction will be provided by Search and Rescue. The cost is $20, with proceeds going to Bingham County Search and Rescue and the Blackfoot Pool.

Lady Broncos take two from Lady Panthers

BLACKFOOT — Blackfoot and Snake River got together on Wednesday afternoon for a double dip on the softball field in a reschedule of the games that were snowed out on Tuesday.
Playing for their first games of the season, Blackfoot was able to get the better of the twin bill by sweeping their cross river rivals 5-1 and 12-4.

Bronco tennis rolls over Diggers

BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot tennis team cruised by the Sugar-Salem Diggers on Wednesday with the boys squad winning 5.5 - .5 and the girls team pulling out a 3.5 - 2.5 victory.
"Over all it was a great win for us, we did very well on the day," Blackfoot head coach Brint Jefferis said. "Our freshman are playing really well and our doubles were real strong for us today."

broncos sharp in 11-5 win over Panthers

BLACKFOOT — The traditional Blackfoot-Snake River rivalry was renewed on Wednesday afternoon as the Broncos and the Panthers squared off on the diamond for a good old fashioned baseball game at Blackfoot High School.
At the end of the day, Blackfoot emerged triumphant with a 11-5 victory as they begin the season by winning the debut for new head coach Kenny Dahle.
"We are just excited to be outside," coach Dahle said. "We were out here at 9 A.M. breaking up ice and frozen diamond dust down the third base line and we are just excited to get the season started."

William Edmo, 74

William David Edmo, 74, of Fort Hall passed away Monday, March 21, 2011, at Pocatello Care and Rehab.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot.
William’s body will then be taken out to East Truchot Road on Thursday morning  until time of services on Friday.
Traditional burial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at the Mission Cemetery in Fort Hall.

Nellie E. “Elizabeth” Davis, Milton of Freewater, Ore., passed away March 20, 2011, at the Stateline Retirement Inn at the age of 104 years of age.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 25, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Eagle Seventh-day Adventist Church in Eagle, Idaho, with Pastor Michael Pearson and Pastor Dennis Parks officiating. Private interment will be in the Dry Creek Cemetery, Eagle. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adventist Frontier Mission or the Adventist Development and Relief Association through the Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main, Milton-Freewater, OR 97862.

Neal Kay Powell, 76, of Blackfoot died Friday, March 18, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born March 3, 1935, in Moscow, the only son of George H. And Genevieve Budrow Powell.
