Tonia Bingham, 96 of Blackfoot died March 19, 2011, at the Skilled Nursing Center in Blackfoot.
She was born Nov. 24, 1914 in Zapotiltic, Jalisco, Mexico, the daughter of Agapito and Petra Horta CortÃ©s.
Tonia was raised and educated in Mexico. She attended business college in Guadalajara and worked as a bilingual secretary for a legal firm, a mining company and the Southern Pacific Railroad.
Tonia married J. Paul Bingham on Sept. 23, 1946, in MazatlÃ¡n, Sinaloa, Mexico.
Neal Powell, 76, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, March 18, 2011, at his home.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at the Jason Lee Memorial Methodist Church under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home.
The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Franklin J. Colson, 80, of Blackfoot passed away Friday, March 18, 2011, at South Davis Hospital in Bountiful, Utah.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at the Riverside 2nd LDS Ward.
The family will meet with friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave., Blackfoot.
Interment will be in the Riverside-Thomas Cemetery.

Randy L. Snell, 55, of Riverside passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011, at the Bingham Memorial Hospital.
Services are pending and will be announced by the Hawker Funeral Home in Blackfoot.
BOISE â Blackfoot High School (BHS) senior Mitchell Jensen is working as a page in the Idaho Senate. He has been spending his weekdays in Boise since Feb. 17.
"I'll be here until "sine die," Jensen said. ("Sine die" is when the proceedings have been adjourned with no appointed date for resumption.)
Two groups of six students work as pages for six weeks in the Idaho Senate during the legislative session. The Legislature normally lasts about 12 weeks.
There are 35 senators in Idaho; one senator represents each district.
BLACKFOOT â Kyra Babcock won the title of Blackfoot's 2011-2012 Distinguished Young Woman over a field of 16 other beautiful and gifted competitors Saturday night at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center.
The 17 Blackfoot High School juniors competed in the areas of scholastics, interview, talent, fitness and self-expression. Each category was judged with the following criteria:

Â· Interview-25 percent
Â· Talent-25 percent
Â· Fitness-15 percent
Â· Self-expression-15 percent
THOMAS â The season opener for the Snake River baseball team went about as good as one could have expected on Friday afternoon.
Squaring off with 6th district Teton, the Panthers got solid pitching, even better defense and more than enough hits in a 9-2 win.
"First time out I think that we played good and really it was just good to get out on the field," Snake River head coach James Carter said. "We had some kids make some great defensive plays. Cody Dean made some great plays at third and all in all it was a great way to start."
Danny Leroy Dahlquist, 58, of Blackfoot passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011, at his home.
Survivors include his wife Cherryl Camphouse Dahlquist of Blackfoot; a son, Johntahon Dahlquist of Missoula, Mont.; a brother, David Dahlquist of Boise; a sister, Lila Johnson of Ririe.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Fern Dahlquist; and one brother, Richard.

Services were conducted on March 15, 2011, in the Grove City Cemetery.
Elizabeth âBettyâ Louise Lewis, 80, of Pocatello, passed away on March 12, 2011, at the Ashley Manor in Chubbuck.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling in Blackfoot.
The family will meet with friends on Friday at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. and again on Saturday for an hour prior to services.
Interment will be in the Riverside Thomas Cemetery.
