More hazing victims uncovered

BLACKFOOT, Idaho (AP) — Police say more possible hazing victims have come forward after five former Blackfoot High School athletes were charged earlier this month.
Blackfoot Police Chief Moore says more charges are pending, but declined to say what they are or against whom they would be filed.
Nathan Walker, Anthony Clarke, Logan Chidester and Tyson Katseanes have been charged and are scheduled to appear in 7th District Court on Dec. 23. They face various misdemeanors and felony counts of forcible sexual penetration using a foreign object.

Cordell Don Ostberg, 33

Cordell Don Ostberg, 33, of Blackfoot, passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2010.
He was born April 28, 1977, at Blackfoot to Don Vearl and Judy Ann Lee Ostberg.
He attended school in Snake River School District, graduating from Snake River High School.
Cordell has lived in the Blackfoot area most of his life.
He worked in carpentry and construction.
Cordell loved the outdoors, camping and fishing and riding motorcycles and horses. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Broncos mash Russets 69-9

BLACKFOOT — Blackfoot and Shelley took to the mats for their inaugural meeting in the 4A High Country Conference. After the dust had settled, Blackfoot showed their County brethren what the competition will be like as they pounded the Russets 69-9.
"The team unity, the team numbers, the team spirit and just the whole feeling that you get from running out on the first night, in our home for the start of the season is just a pretty special feeling," Blackfoot head coach Brian Barlow said. "You've got to love being a Blackfoot Bronco."

Dallas C Robinson, 86

Our Dad, Grandpa, Brother and Sweetheart passed away on Pearl Harbor Day at the age of 86. We honor his tremendous example and the legacy he left of giving love and service for all he knew.
Dad was born in Marysville and grew up primarily in Felt and Ashton where he ran trap lines as a young man and farmed as an adult.
Dad went to the Naval Recruiting office on the first day after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He served throughout the war aboard the U.S.S. Tangier.

Keith R. Randall, 86

Keith R. Randall, 86, of Blackfoot, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Idaho State Veteran’s Home in Pocatello.
It was inadvertently left off that he was survived by a sister, Marjorie Allen of Portland, Oregon.

Cordell Don Ostberg, 33

Cordell Don Ostberg, 33, of Blackfoot passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2010.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home and will be announced.

Cleo Irene Andreason Maynard, 80

December 15, 2010

Cleo Irene Andreason Maynard, 80, beloved mother and grandmother passed from this life on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010 ,at the Lost Rivers Living Center in Arco.
She was born Nov. 24, 1930 in Arco to Clifford and Dora Andreason.  Cleo attended schools and was raised in Arco. She graduated from Arco High School in 1948.

Steven Edward Yount, 52

December 15, 2010

Steven Edward Yount, 52, passed away Dec. 11, 2010.
He was born Oct.15, 1958 in Lenoir, North Carolina to the late Stuart Yount and Peggy and John Frost.
At the age of 12 he moved with his family to Pocatello. He graduated from Highland High School in 1976. He furthered his education at Idaho State University.
He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a full time mission in the Bristol, England area.
He married Kathy Whitaker on May 20, 1983 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They have four wonderful children.

Lady Broncos snap 7-game skid

BLACKFOOT — The Blackfoot Lady Broncos snapped a 7-game slide at home on Tuesday night as they beat the Lady Indians of Pocatello 42-34.
"I saw a lot of enthusiasm tonight," Blackfoot head coach Mike Kirkham said. "The kids believed in themselves, they wanted this one real bad and they refused to be denied."
Desperate for a win, the Blackfoot squad indeed came out with a lot of energy, opening the game on a 9-2 run.

Russets dispatch of old foe 61-51

SHELLEY - The Shelley Russets overcame a 7 point half time deficit, surging to a 61-51 non conference victory over the Sugar Salem Diggers Tuesday night.
Led by the sheer brilliance of sophomore McKay Cannon who displayed an array of no look passes, long range jumpers and stellar defense, the Russets dominated the second half of what had been a close contest.
