BLACKFOOT â€” The Bingham Crisis Center is seeking brave men to join thousands of others throughout the country in showing their support for women while taking a stand against sexual assault and gender violence.
That stand will be made in high-heeled shoes.
The Bingham Crisis Center is hosting a "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event Saturday at 11 a.m. They are hoping to raise awareness of sexual assault and gender violence. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
BLACKFOOT â€” Seventh District Judge Darren Simpson has set a trial date for the case of MSW Green Energy Corporation versus Bingham County. County officials are suing the company for non-performance of contractual obligations.
Donald Fredley, president of MSW Green, and Austin Johnson, vice president of MSW Green, have also been named as defendants in this lawsuit.
A jury trial is set to begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9. The judge reserved three days for the trial.
BLACKFOOT â€“ Sharon Hoge has taught in the Blackfoot School District her entire teaching career. Presently, she teaches drama at the Mountain View Middle School (MVMS).
Hoge has also taught first grade and fourth. She taught fifth grade for 10 years at Stoddard Elementary School before joining the staff at MVMS.
â€śI was hired at MVMS as the Gifted and Talented Coordinator,â€ť Hoge said. â€śAbout the same time, the drama teacher at the school quit.
