BLACKFOOT — Fifteen students with the Blackfoot/Bingham County Youth Coalition attended the Northwest Alcohol Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz. earlier this month.
The students—from Blackfoot, Snake River, Shelley and Aberdeen high schools—were among 70 youth from throughout the country who gathered at the conference to discuss alcohol issues and ways to combat issues facing youth.
Youth Coalition Chairman Mark Cowley said the conference focused on the use of positive messaging to promote change rather than using anti-message campaigns.
