On September 07, 2011, around 08:00 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a two vehicle crash on SH39 at mile marker 48.5, west of Blackfoot.
MORNING NEWS
THOMAS – Idaho State Police officers responded to a crash involving a school bus this morning just east of Snake River High School.
The accident happened around 8 a.m. and involved a school bus and another car.
One eye witness reports "that it looked like the bus may have rear-ended the car."
Northbound lands of U.S. Highway 39 were blocked temporarily, but are now open.

BLACKFOOT — Friends and family of local tattoo artist Kim Nakamura are raising funds to honor his memory with a headstone.
Nakamura died Aug. 28 of complications from a medical illness. He owned and operated Til Death Tattoo at 1010 W. Bridge St. Ste. A.
His longtime friend Juan Soltero of Salty's Ink Tattoos in Pocatello is offering tattoos at Kim's shop today. All proceeds will help purchase a headstone, with any additional proceeds going to Kim's five-year-old daughter. T-shirts and CD's of Kim's rap music are also for sale.
