The case against Christopher Cox was sealed by the court Thursday.
Cox, the Snake River Junior High School principal, was arrested Wednesday and charged Thursday with three felony counts of sexual abuse of a child under 16 years old.
There are several reasons why a court may choose to seal a case. These include:
° the documents or materials contain highly intimate facts or statements, the publication of which would be highly objectionable to a reasonable person, or
° the documents or materials contain facts or statements that the court finds might be libelous, or

SAY MY NAME: Feb. 13, 2:43 p.m.: A woman said she has received several calls from a man who said he is with the CIA. He told her he is investigating illegal purchases of prescription medications. He said two men with guns would come and arrest her and take her to jail. She said her front door is open and an officer should just come in and shout her name.
Blackfoot artist Matt Sorensen has made his living from Spray Paint Art for several years. Sorensen calls it "Rattle Can Art."
"I started spray paint art about 15 years ago after I watched a spray paint artist in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where my family and I were vacationing," Sorensen said. "I came home and started experimenting.
"Jared Van Orden was instrumental in setting me up to paint. He gave me a place to go to paint.
"Now I make my living from painting," he said. "I get paid as an entertainer."
Counselors are available in the Snake River School District to help students and staff deal with the alleged actions of Christopher Cox, the Snake River Junior High principal who was arrested Wednesday afternoon. Cox has been charged with three felony counts of sexual abuse of a minor under 16 years old.
"We are all devastated," said Superintendent Russell Hammond. "A brief assembly was held at the junior high Thursday morning to explain to the students what we know."
Snake River Junior High School Principal Christopher C. Cox, 38, was released on his own recognizance Thursday morning after appearing before Magistrate Judge Charles Roos on three separate felony counts of sexual abuse of a child under 16 years old.
The criminal complaint alleges that between Jan. 1 and Aug. 7, 2011, the defendant had sexual contact with a female minor "not amounting to lewd conduct," but included simulated sexual intercourse by "dry humping" and inappropriate touching.
She was 14 or 15 years old at the time and has since moved out of state with her family.
Owner Stefano Bronzati welcomed members of the Greater Blackfoot Chamber of Commerce board of directors to Winger's Express on Thursday.
"The Cruz brothers did a good job," Bronzati said of the local construction company which rebuilt the interior of the former Original Winger's store at 1215 Parkway Drive.
"This is much more comfortable than before," he said of the changed interior. The construction workers took down part of the walls that had separated the dining area from a bar area.
