This Friday Blackfoot High School students will enchant audiences with their musical production of "Beauty and the Beast."
This grand performance will include a cast of about 50 students, a full orchestra directed by Jan Eddington and a choir directed by Andrew Hames.
Though "Beauty and the Beast" is a "tale as old as time," director Sharon Hoge said the play will be unique. Hoge is a master at making plays distinct through special effects and she says this show will include those impressive elements.

Steve Cederberg of Shelley is running for Bingham County commissioner, seeking to replace the retiring Cleone Jolley. He is among six Republican candidates for the post who are seeking votes in the May 15 primary.
“We have a GREAT county and it has been well-run," Cederberg said. "I consider Cleon Jolley to have been a valuable asset to the county and a friend. He leaves behind big shoes to fill, but I believe my well-rounded background and experience with local and state government, roads and bridges, docks and waterways and other county entities makes me a very strong candidate.
