SHOPLIFTING: May 23, 8:34 p.m.: A caller at Walmart reported having two females detained for shoplifting.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: May 25, 1:11 a.m.: A caller said two people are getting into people's cars.
CAN'T MOVE ON: May 25, 10:09 a.m.: A man said he arranged to buy a camper about a month ago but it fell through because the seller couldn't provide the title. He said he got his check back but still finds the situation odd and wanted to know if anything else could be done about it.
Bingham County Prosecuting Attorney Scott Andrew hand delivered a letter to the Idaho Attorney General's (AG) office on Tuesday asking that the AG's office take over the prosecutorial responsibilities regarding activities that have occurred at Bingham Memorial Hospital (BMH, Inc.)
The letter has also been sent to BMH, Inc.'s attorney, Andrew said.
Nearly three decades have passed since the mutilation and murder of 31-year-old Danette Elg of Blackfoot. Her body was found July 21, 1984.
At 10:25 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, Richard Albert Leavitt died for her murder.
Was justice served? a reporter asked former Bingham County Prosecuting Attorney Tom Moss. He had successfully argued that Leavitt was guilty of murder during Leavitt’s 1985 trial.
“Yes,” Moss said in answer to that question during a press conference following the execution. “Do you want more? Yes, I think justice was served.”
