Three elected Bingham County officials received Mills-Alder Awards at the Idaho Association of Counties (IAC) convention last week in Sun Valley.
The recipients are Treasurer Janice Lawes, Sheriff Dave Johnson and Commissioner Cleone Jolley.
The Mills-Adler Awards are voted on by the recipents' peers. The award goes to each "outstanding county elected official." Across the state, there are 132 county commissioners, 44 sheriffs and 44 treasurers.
Started in 1993, this is the first time in its history that the Mills-Adler Awards have gone to three elected officials from the same county.
