Nearly 300 people took advantage of Community Dinner Table's Thanksgiving meal on Thursday.
"We had a truly blessed day with 270 souls," said Lee Hammett, a member of the Community Dinner Table board of directors. "Each had the opportunity to describe four things they were thankful for. You know the holiday season has officially begun when Santa Claus rolls through Blackfoot on a shiny red fire engine courtesy of the Blackfoot Fire Department. The Blackfoot firemen will escort Santa from the fire station at 11 a.m. and onto local businesses around town where Santa will listen to children's Christmas wishes.
His first stop will be at the Family Dollar Store, then onto Walgreens, Riverside Plaza, Ridley's and Walmart.
