Mayoral candidates speak out on election experience

November 7, 2013

BLACKFOOT—While four of Blackfoot's mayoral candidates may be resting this week, for Paul Loomis and Dan Cravens - it's time for a second round.
It's no surprise that the six man mayoral race has resulted in a runoff election between the two candidates with the most votes - from Tuesday's city election. It's a city law that a mayoral candidate receive 50 percent of the votes (plus one) in order to claim the election. Loomis received the most votes of 667, followed by Cravens - who garnered 452 votes. The two will go 'head to head' in a runoff election scheduled for Dec. 3.
