The Monster FreestyleMX.com Worldwide Tour is coming to the Eastern Idaho State Fair (EISF) for the ninth year in a row tonight at 8 p.m. in the Grandstand arena at the EISF grounds.
Each year 10 of the best FMX riders from around the world are picked to go on this particular tour. They travel all around the country, logging an average of about 85,000 miles on their tour -bus, according to the founder of Freestylemx.com, Marc Burnett.
"The EISF show is by far the best crowd we have all year long," said Burnett.
The Blackfoot City Council unanimously approved pursuing 'judicial confirmation' for a new clarifier and improvements at the city's wastewater treatment plant at Tuesday's city council meeting.
A "judicial confirmation" means asking a judge to review the costs and deem it an ordinary and necessary city expense. If a judge agrees, then the city does not have to have a public vote to take on the debt.
A clarifier tank removes solids from coming into the plant from the city's sanitary sewer system and removes deposits (such as scum and oil) off the top of the water.
Another two vehicle injury crash has been reported at 1250 W on Highway 39. Please take caution, there is a road blockage present.
BLACKFOOT—You may not have intended to stop and watch Paul Issak perform on the free stage at the Eastern Idaho State Fair, but the comedian/juggler has a way of raising the enthusiasm and drawing people, young and old, to his show once he hits the stage.
Jason and Joni Bateman of Burley settled in to watch the show with their two children after being drawn in by the laughter and cheers of the crowds.
"We're glad we stopped in. This is fun...it's free and our kids are loving it. Look at their smiles," Joni said.
