Stamp Out Hunger drive a success

BLACKFOOT — Mail carriers and rural mail carriers in the Blackfoot area brought in almost three tons of non-perishable food on Saturday.
Almost 30 volunteers were on hand at the Blackfoot Post Office parking lot to sort the food contributed by Blackfoot residents.
The exact weight of food contributed on Saturday was 5,740 pounds.
The food bank at the SouthEastern Idaho Community Action Agency (SEICAA) was the beneficiary of these food stuffs.
"We are happy," said Bobette Beesley, SEICAA Outreach Manager/Bingham County Coordinator. "It helps a lot.
