SHOPLIFTING: May 23, 8:34 p.m.: A caller at Walmart reported having two females detained for shoplifting.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: May 25, 1:11 a.m.: A caller said two people are getting into people's cars.
CAN'T MOVE ON: May 25, 10:09 a.m.: A man said he arranged to buy a camper about a month ago but it fell through because the seller couldn't provide the title. He said he got his check back but still finds the situation odd and wanted to know if anything else could be done about it.
Bingham County Prosecuting Attorney Scott Andrew hand delivered a letter to the Idaho Attorney General's (AG) office on Tuesday asking that the AG's office take over the prosecutorial responsibilities regarding activities that have occurred at Bingham Memorial Hospital (BMH, Inc.)
The letter has also been sent to BMH, Inc.'s attorney, Andrew said.
Nearly three decades haveÂ passed since the mutilation and murder of 31-year-old Danette Elg of Blackfoot. Her body was found July 21, 1984.
At 10:25 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, Richard Albert Leavitt died for her murder.
Was justice served? a reporter asked former Bingham County Prosecuting Attorney Tom Moss. He had successfully argued that Leavitt was guilty of murder during Leavittâ€™s 1985 trial.
â€śYes,â€ť Moss said in answer to that question during a press conference following the execution. â€śDo you want more? Yes, I think justice was served.â€ť
IDAHO FALLSâ€” Idaho Falls Police Department is seeking help in finding information on a man reportedly breaking into vehicles at the Winco parking lot on June 7th.

Boiseâ€” Convicted killer Richard a leavitt of Blackfoot died at 10:25 a m in the death chamber at the Idaho Maximum Security Institution. Leavitt asked for sedatives several times during the night before execution Tuesday morning. â€¨Leavitt was convicted of the 1984 mutilation and murder of Danette Elg in Blackfoot.

BLACKFOOT â€” Bingham Memorial Hospital announced Monday the filing of a Notice of Tort claim against County Commissioner Ladd Carter and Bingham County Planning and Zoning Commissioner Chairman Lee Hammett.
A tort is anything that is not a contract. In general terms, a tort is a civil wrong, involving a breach of duty or a negligent act by one person which results in injury or loss to another, and gives the injured party the right to bring a legal action for damages. Personal injury claims are tort claims.
BLACKFOOT â€” Timmi Hutchings is appropriately nicknamed "Full Throttle." This will be the third year in a row she will compete in the Wrangler Division of the High School Rodeo Association.
At the Idaho State event that took place in Filer, Idaho, June 1-3, Timmi won barrels; was second in goat tying and placed third in poles.
She has the hardware to prove it. At state, she won two belt buckles, a saddle, a horse blanket, goat tying rope can and $900 for earning the all-around title.
This morning, as most of us were wiping the sleep from our eyes and heading to work, former Blackfoot resident was beginning a 435-mile run across Idaho.
Starting from Fruitland, about 50 miles west of Boise, Evans will run about 50 miles a day until he reaches his home in Victor.
Evans is running to raise funds for the Tenley Foundation, a nonprofit organization which distributes funds to the families of children with cancer.
Evans explained that the organization provides funds for unexpected expenses, such as an extra trip to Salt Lake City, that insurance won't cover.
