Alma Jemmett Reid, 88, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at her home near Blackfoot.
She was born Dec. 21, 1921, in Shelley to Clifford and Daphne Webb Jemmett. She was the middle child of a loving family of four girls and five boys.
Alma was raised along Cedar Creek in the Blackfoot River Mountains. She boarded part time in Firth to attend high school, and then went on to business college in Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked for the Navy Depot in Clearfield, Utah, until returning to Idaho to marry her cowboy sweetheart, Fred Reid, on Dec. 27, 1942.Â
